Provided by YP.comI have never had a set of Doctors and a hospital that was this good. Dr. Martine Denn is the first and only Dr that walking in to surgery prep she said "lets talk about your CYP2C19 deficiency." Dr Ahmad Azari was such a good surgeon. He spent plenty of time with me understto understand my medical history and worked with my other doctors so well. And the hospital was fantastic. The rooms are like hotel rooms. The staff was sooooo attentive. Great job Shamika, Courtney, and Amanda!!!! Thank you Baptist for such good care. I am so thankful I was able to go to this hospital for my care!!!!

You're right it's not nice in Memphis. A lot of the professional people are extremely rude and mean
for no reason. It's hard to find a hospital with nurses and doctors who has a pleasant bedside manners.

Provided by YP.comWhen I was admitted to Baptist hospital, two nurses were very unprofessional towards me.

Provided by YP.comI recently went to this location of Baptist hospital and had to wait a long time to be seen. It was normal considering I wasn't bleeding to death or having a baby. The nurse and the PA were extremely nice however they forgot about me asking for a blanket when the room was freezing. The outpatient woman would not let me leave the hospital until I paid a portion of the bill and embarassed me for not having insurance at the time. She eventually let me leave the discharge area but only after telling me that I would end up paying for the bill anyways. I was in a car accident that was the other drivers fault and Baptist does not participate in financial assistant/no insurance if it is a third party incident. So, if someone hurts you...they won't help you pay. If it's a car accident....they will not help. If you were robbed and someone hit you and broke your nose (I know...drastic)...they would not help you. I was willing to pay all of my bill in full if they could give me $200 or so dollars off the $2,000 bill but they would not becuase it was a third party accident. If I would've had excellent care I would not have a problem with the dollar amount.

Provided by YP.comI am a 57 year old middle class female with insurance and 3 college degrees so I am not ignorant, stupid or ill informed. I went to Baptist East at 5:30 p.m yesterday reporting oxygen level of 87 and chest pains. I have only been to an ER for myself once before. I was not triaged until 45 minutes to 1 hour later. My O2 at that time was normal, but chest hurting. I had an ekg and blood test much later. I was not seen by a doctor or put in a room until midnight. The ER was full, but many were druggies openly talking about being there to get meds and were seen before me and discharged (with drugs, I might add because we overhead their phone conversations). I left at 5:00 am after being treated by a smart aleck young doctor who said it was not my heart, but underlying pulmanary problems for which I needed to see a specialist and who would not listen to my symptoms or last 2 week history which led me there. I had an IV steiod injection, 2 breathing treatments, and 1 chest x-ray with less than 10 minutes of treatment time and stayed 12 hours. The nursing staff and registration people were very nice. I still feel like hell today. This was a Tuesday night. What is the week end like? Never again.
