Great store. Great prices. Smart staff!

You can please some of the people some of the time....and the rest are just tooopid. I have traveled all over the Eastern part of this country for business and always take a look at the local fish stores. ALL are more expensive and none compare with the service that I have received at Memfish. Great people, always willing to help...even when I make REALLY stupid mistakes. Thanks Richard, Amy, Rob, Adam and Kristen for always putting up with me.

I recently bought a fish from this store. Before I left the store I notice there was a few scales missing on one side of it mentioned it to the manager they looked at me like i was stupid took it home anyways it died took it back with receipt and water sample and the denied me any kind of reimbursement because i didn't have perfect water all my other fish are fine i do weekly water changes and that wasn't the reason it died they didn't want to own up to the fact the sold me a bad fish so please save your money and order offline you'll have a better guarantee

Stay Away!! Let the buyer beware should be posted. Bought "Real Reef" live rock thinking it was actual reef rock. To be sure I asked an employee if the purple suff I was seeing was coraline algae and she said it was. I took it home and under the lights of my tank could easily tell this was painted rock. Called store and they admitted it was painted rock. Asked for refund, was told I would have to wait to ask manager in 3 days! Emailed manager and he said he would give 1/2 value in store credit. Here is a quote from owner email, "If you didn't like it, you shouldn't have purchased it to begin with." He said signs were clearly marked, the biggest sign says "Cheapest rock in Town" and there is a reason for it.

I am fairly new to the hobby and was pleased to find Memfish after visiting most of the other marine fish stores in Memphis. The staff is very helpful and I have found their prices to be the best in the area, often beating "deals" found online. I enjoy dropping in to see what is new and to have a friendly chat with the staff. The selection of fish and corals are great and a trip to Memfish is the perfect incentive to get my daughter to clean her room, do her homework, etc. We love our visits to the store...keep up the good work!!

I have done business with Memfish from day one and have nothing but respect for Richard and all his employees. I recently moved 180 miles away and Richard held my corals and fish in a tank at the shop until I could cycle the 90 gallon tank in my new home . Memfish will still be my local fish store for all my saltwater needs . There are no dealers closer and had I not known I have the support of Richard and his staff , I may have sold my set up and not attempted to keep it going this far from needed supplies.

I would highly recommend Memfish for all your aquarium hobby needs...there is something for everyone ..since moving away I miss the times I could just pop in to see what was new, I will still drive back from time to time just to pick up new additions I am sure..

I bought a light from this store and got home to find out that there was a used bulb in the box!!!!!! It was not even the same company as the box, so I called the store immediately and headed back. The floor staff was very nice and willing to exchange, but the owner would not even come out of the back of the store and said NO exchanges without even standing face to face with me. He would not even leave the back!!! I had spent plenty of money at this store but will not return. Usually a good place, but this was customer service at its worst. My money will be going to Kermit's Reef from here on out.

Great Store - Richard got me started from day one with my first saltwater tank. He and most of the staff have been very helpful each step of the way, with lots of good information and tips. I"ve watched the store evolve and it is a terrific place to find just about everything you need. There are places around that are slightly cheaper, but not places that offer such great service with each purchase, no matter how large or small. Definitely my favorite place to shop for fish and coral!

I must say I love this store cause of the staff (Richard, Rob and John) They know their fish. The prices are one of the lowest in town. The store is very clean and the set up of the aquariums is very good. If you are looking for both salt water or fresh water. This will be your favorite store. The people are friendly, the prices are great and the staff are very very knowledgeable! Highly recommended for beginners AND experts!
