My wife obtained the services of this person to repair a grandmother clock. He charged her as much as should have been charged for a complete replacement for the entire works. So far as I can determine, all he did was clean the works. The clock operated for only about six weeks and failed again. Despite entreaties from my wife, he refused to correct the problem without another exorbitant charge. I would never have this guy work on even a simple alarm clock.

I purchased a mantle clock from The Clock Doctor about 15 years ago. When it started slowing down, I took it back to him for service. He serviced it, cleaned it and had it back to keeping time quickly. He explained to me that clocks are just like cars, you have to keep them maintained for them to run correctly. Very reasonable prices and very polite to me.

Horrible. Repaired my grandfather clock but it does not run right. Charged 450.00 and apparently doesn't know what he is doing. Picked up my mantel clock 2 months ago and will not return it. Cannot contact him by phone. Apparently Mr. Gaines is incompetent or otherwise just a crook.

I paid this individual over $700 to disassemble, clean and lubricate two heirloom clocks. One of the clocks was a grandfather clock. The clock doctor returned this clock and is doing a good job of keeping time. The other heirloom clock was a mantle clock. The clock doctor reported that he performed the same service as described above. This clock does not work. I have attempted to call the Clock Dr. and ask for assistance or a refund. He has yet to return my call. I cannot offer my recommendation to this individual.
