My husband nor I attend church...

My husband nor I attend church, because we feel we do not need to go to church to talk to God. However, it was important for me to get married in a church, and so we were married at Good Shepherd. When it came time to baptize my son, I was told by 2 people of the church that my son could be baptized there. A day later, Father Mich called and was rather quite rude to me. He suggested that I join a parish closer to my home, and have my son baptized there. He further stated that if he allowed me to get my son baptized at Good Shephard, they would only being doing me a service. Not once did he ask me join the church. Instead, he turned someone away from the religion, which I thought is the opposite of what they want to do. I have to say that I do understand, to a point, what the Father was trying to say. However, it is the message and the tone that I find quite disappointing from a person who is supposed to be delivering God's message. So to me, what he said was that you are not worth being a member of my church, so I won't ask you. And your son is not worth baptizing, so I won't do it. Never again will I step foot in Good Shepherd, and if anyone asks about the church, I will tell what happened.
