Two stars because the Y is making my son take a class on how to use the weights in the fitness room, I'm OK with that but does he really need to take a class before he can ride a stationary bike or treadmill, the class times are also inconvenient. The layout of the basketball court is terrible too, emergency exit doors right under the main hoop that are sensitive. My basketball has hit the door before... just be ready for the fire alarm to go off.

The Tri County YMCA stinks! We...

The Tri County YMCA stinks! Went there with my children and sat on the side to watch my kids play in the 6" deep pool- one is 7 the other 3. After swimming for 10 minutes and the lifeguards having more than enough time to approach me a lifeguard tells me my kids can not swim without an adult (parent) within an arms reach. Looking around there were 4 lifeguards watching the kiddie pool, what is the point for 4 lifeguards if the parents can not sit 5 ft away watching their kids in a 6" deep pool? Couldn't they have told me this before my kids got wet? Before they changed? Very disappointed and will not be returning... Im not paying this much money for lifeguards just to be standing around... don't know what the point of the lifeguards are in this case!
