I adopted my wonderful kitty Dewalt from this establishment. It was obvious that the people here care about their animals and want, no, NEED them to go to a great home. I was treated with respect through the whole process by their awesome staff. Couldn't be happier!

You are breaking the law and it will come back on you personally. You have a dog that was stollen and you ate refusing to work with the owner tp get the dog returned.

I brought in three stray baby kittens hoping the dunn county humane society would find them good homes. It's been four months and I have asked multiple times about their condition. The humane society keeps telling me they have ring worm. It doesn't take four months to treat ring worm. Just recently they started ignoring my questions. I want to know what happened to Bunker and his siblings no more lies. We're they put down for a certain reason? I just want to know the truth.

I had a very good experience with this animal shelter. I was looking for an adult cat, and I was allowed (encouraged) to hold and interact with any cat I was interested in. The animals' cages were clean, the cats were well groomed and very friendly. The staff answered my questions about each individual cat to make sure I found the cat that was the best fit for my home. Sure, they're overcrowded, but that's because they're a "no-kill" shelter. I'd rather see an overcrowded shelter instead of one that has room to spare because they euthanize perfectly healthy animals to make room for "new" ones. If you don't like the conditions, do something about it - donate! I visit regularly, and each time there is a volunteer there who is interacting with each and every animal. The animals are not limited to small cages all day long - they are taken out to play and exercise and socialize.

I was treated poorly and with much disrespect when I tried to adopt an animal from this place. I love animals dearly and would never do anything but the best for my pets. Jim the manager was rude, unprofessional and seems to be very spiteful. This has been my first experience with a shelter and it has been a very bad one. I think it will be easier to just get a dog from a private party and not be treated like I am the enemy. I will never donate to this shelter and will recommend that no one else donates to them either. Give to a shelter that actually helps animals get adopted .

Poor conditions for both cats ...

Poor conditions for both cats and dogs! Cats are limited to small cages with no avenue to movement and many are sleeping in litter boxes! Although the staff tries it is obvious that lack of funds are limiting the animals true needs! Both dogs and cats are not allowed human contact in most cases which means you as a potential owner can not pet or hold animals making it poor fits for families! However it is keeping minimum standards brought to them by the state. The staff seems to not be caring enough to the pets at first glance which is probably a fact of poor funding! Ether they need more funds or simply need shut down for the sake of the pets!
