Moon Lake Library is Mentone's municipal public library, founded in 2002. It offers an up-to-date collection of books and DVDs for check out. Visitors and locals alike enjoy its ongoing used book sale, which is a major fundraiser for the library. The library sponsors programs including author talks, featured speakers on specific topics, children's activities, movie and game nights, and a book club. Almost all programs are free and open to the public. Fun fact: Mentone is the smallest town in the state to have its own municipal library. The library was developed originally to serve both Moon Lake School and the town of Mentone.
