The Office of the City Manager is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the activities of various municipal operations. It is a part of the City of Mentor in Ohio. The office appoints several departments heads and employees, as well as ensures that laws and ordinances governing the city are enforced. It recommends municipal ordinances and regulations to the city s council and implements policies. The Office of the City Manager prepares administrative budgets and capital improvement programs. The office governs a human resources division that works in the areas of recruitment, testing, selection and labor relations. The division is responsible for employee development and training and the processing of accident and injury reports.
