Benjamin Bissett and his son opened a Chevrolet dealership in Mercer, Pa. in 1954, celebrating with a grand opening that showcased the 1955 Bel Air Sport Coupe. Bissett sold that coupe and other cars and trucks. Ben Bissett Chevrolet offers quality Chevrolet cars and trucks, service and genuine General Motors parts. The company has sold thousands of Chevrolet cars and trucks including coupes, sedans, station wagons, hatchbacks, trucks, SUVs and Corvettes since opening. Its preowned vehicles are reconditioned and cleaned and go through a rigorous service check. Preowned cars get a new oil change and filter and are emissions inspected with warranties. The company stocks local cars, trucks and GM factory units and carries an inventory of preowned work trucks.
