The Transportation Department is a provider of cooperative transportations services for schools, parents and students. It is a part of Joint School District No. 2, which serves the needs of more than 13,000 students per day. Joint School District No. 2 offers services for over 45 schools. It operates a fleet of nearly 250 buses. The district has human resources, professional development and purchasing departments. Joint School District No. 2 also operates elementary, middle and high schools. The district, through its schools, offers educational opportunities for students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. In addition, it provides nutrition program and organizes recreational activities for individuals.
