Provided by YP.comMy Ozzy (Rottweiler) will not be going back. by Natalie Bravo - 04/23/2014
I have been taking my Rottweiler to Doggie Day Spaw in Meridian for about 18 months now and I usually take him every 3 months. I called in today to get an appointment and when I told the girl my name and dog's name she sounded like it was an inconvenience I asked if they could clip a little scraggleys on him and she said well you know it takes two of us to do him and I asked if it was because he is big and she said NO he has behavorial problems and is an ALPHA MALE and does not listen to them. I was shocked since no one there has ever said this before and first of all my dog is NOT an ALPHA dog and is a big teddy bear and is so submissive with us and I told her this and she said well he is not when he is here and I asked her if they use the training collar on him and she said no they use love well I know with my dog loving on him means you want to play but he in no way does he control us we have made that firm from the beginning than she asked if we socialize him and I said not really because of other viruses or diseases that he could contract and that with people he is normally only around us and she said well that's why he has behavorial problems and this dog is afraid of his own shadow but he is not a big chicken or anything like that and that he is a big playful teddy bear and listens to us with no problems. I asked her if I could watch while they bathe him to see what the problems were and she said NO. When I have taken him there and I go to pick him up the lady always has nothing but nice things to say about him but I guess they were all lies.

Our regular groomer retired awhile back. Since then I have taken our dogs (a miniature Parti Poodle and a Schnoodle) to the Doggie Day Spaw a couple of time to get groomed. Each time they have done a very nice job on them. The dogs are evenly cut and look GREAT! The ladies who work there are very nice and it is apparent that the love the dogs.

Provided by YP.comWonderful experience for both me and my dogs! They received loving attention, the service was very fast and perfect and the price was extremely reasonable. Clearly, the owner loves animals. I had no concerns about leaving my "babies" with her. Recommend highly!

I took my two large, full blood male Samoyeds to the Spaw for grooming last week. There has only been ONE other time that I got the boys back after a grooming and they weren't still shedding like mad. I have not found any hair in the house or car since I picked them up. I am very impressed with their service, the dogs look beautiful, and it appears the 'boys' enjoyed the experience as well. Thanks!

I have a 9month old Yorkie and took her to the doggie day spaw to have her groomed and am extremely disappointed with the results!!! I took her in with about 3in of hair and requested that they give her a trim to about an inch and a half. When I picked her up she was at the longest maybe a half inch and very patchy with some areas all the way down to the skin. :( They made a beautiful girl yorkie look like a sewer rat! They even cut all of her whiskers down to her nose, which I've never seen anyone do. It's obvious that the groomer didn't know how to properly groom a yorkie. We will never return to the doggie day spaw.

I have a one yr old cockapoo, that had probably about 3 to 4 inchs of hair, so i contacted doggie day spaw for a grooming, It was our first time there, I asked the groomer to take a couple of inchs off and blend her all over, and told her my wife likes a teddy bear cut, When I was contacted almost 5 hours later to pick her up, they had shaved her completely down to the skin on several areas of her body, shaved her face down to the skin where she tears, her body was also very uneven with clumps of hair every where, her legs where also shaved with clumps of hair, I was extremely upset, they ruined our dog, it's the worst grooming i have ever seen, and she has been groomed 3 to 4 times in the past, by a different groomer, unfortunitly she has moved away, so we decided to try doggie day spa, since it was close to our home. The worst part of the groom, is I was charged full price, and not even offered a discount for the poor quality grooming. we will never go back to doggie day spaw, and ne

This place is great! The people are nice, they are great to the dogs. The groomer is excellent, my dog loves to go there. They use excellent products and have a water softener with a chlorine filter. I highly recommend them.. Oh yeah, they always give every dog a homemade cookie!
