Zelus Recovery
1965 S Eagle Rd Ste 140, Meridian, ID 83642
We are a private outpatient treatment agency for adolescents and young adults who struggle with substance abuse. We like to call ourselves a boutique agency, which means we purposefully maintain a small staff and office so we can build close, meaningful relationships with each of our clients. Our team takes a progressive, yet contemporary, view of treating adolescents, young adults, and the families who are so often affected by their loved one’s substance use. Because people in this situation often feel shame, hurt, anger, and relationships are strained, we take a family systems approach to treatment. Our ultimate goal is offering an environment where young people can find their way back to health and happiness, becoming contributing members of society.

- Therapy Therapy can transform the lives of people who struggle with substance use and abuse; and many times it’s very helpful if their loved ones participate. Therapy sessions can change damaging behavior and work to repair relationships that suffer because of addiction. Zelus Recovery offers individual, family, and relationship therapy—which can be scheduled weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or as needed. Issues stemming from a co-occurring mental health disorder or behavioral disorder can also be addressed during therapy. These services are included for Zelus Recovery clients and families. Treatment Programs There are three levels of care that people who struggle with substance abuse are often referred into—Intensive Outpatient, Outpatient, and Early Intervention. Zelus Recovery offers comprehensive therapy care in each of these areas. Intensive Outpatient Care The Intensive Outpatient treatment program for alcoholism or drug addiction includes three to four sessions a week. Because of the intensity, all services are available after school or work hours. We know people have important commitments and obligations, and we work to interrupt daily routines as little as possible. Outpatient Services Outpatient services are less intense, but very necessary, for the individual who needs treatment. The frequency of sessions depends on each situation. Once or twice a week is most common, with group, individual, and family sessions as needed. Early Intervention Early Intervention is needed mostly when parents suspect their adolescent may be starting to use alcohol or drugs. Early warning signs usually include a drop in grades, changes in friends, and/or sneaking out of the house. Intervening before these behaviors get worse can be extremely beneficial in preventing bigger problems. Family Program Addiction is often referred to as a family disease. One reason is the great impact parents and loved ones suffer when living with the daily challenges addiction can bring. Not only is it extremely difficult to watch someone struggle with substance abuse, but caregivers often forget to make sure their own needs are being met. Zelus Recovery can help people learn how to be there for their loved one and strategies for taking care of themselves.

- Assessment The path to finding help can be overwhelming. That’s why we offer a completely confidential, no-cost screening by a licensed clinician to determine whether we’re the best fit for you or your loved one. If we recommend a higher level of care, such as a residential treatment or drug rehab, we’ll be happy to help with this process and provide a list of referrals. If we feel Zelus Recovery can help, a clinician will then complete a thorough assessment, which may include biological, psychological, social, emotional, and spiritual life factors. During this process, we may find that counseling and/or treatment services would be helpful, and an intake can be scheduled for orientation of the respective program. These assessments can also be helpful to outside therapists, courts, attorneys, or employers. Zelus Recovery clinicians work hard to determine whether an individual is addicted and if there are other social or biological factors such as mental health disorders or peer influences that affect one’s well-being.
