Provided by YP.comI worked with Payton and Assured AC to replace an HVAC unit in a rental property in San Tan Valley. Payton was quick to find the issue with the existing unit, provided me adequate knowledge of what the best course of action is in the long term, and get me a bid. As an owner that is not in the same geographical are both cost as well as quality of the install is important so multiple bids were sought from other area HVAC companies to get a baseline of cost for the job. From there it was research into the company performing the work, and when it comes to HVAC installs the importance of a quality install far exceeds the importance of buying a top of the line unit. After scrapping the bids of a few installers I ended up with two installers, Assured AC and a second company. Upon speaking to both Payton and the second installer I found zero corners being cut by Payton and Assured and they ultimately won the bid.
60% down and the parts were brought to install. It was one of the coldest weeks in the valley so I had great concern to get the unit installed so my tenants had heat (this is a split unit with a heat pump). Payton came on a Saturday and completed the job without a hitch (I later found that this was his birthday weekend and he cancelled plans to make it work, HUGE). He made some suggestions on additional items but never felt sale pitchy, all facts and numbers (I lead a large team of salespeople for a Fortune 25 company, so this is always a breath of fresh air). I opted for the extras after doing some research online and he was quick to provide photographs of both the old unit as well as the new unit up and running. Being 200 miles away and not being able to do a walkthrough myself for a couple weeks this was a huge help.
All in all, Payton and Assured AC exceeded my expectations, and for very little more than the cheap Craigslist guys. He has won my future business for rental properties, and I highly recommend to other Landlords, Real Estate folks, and anyone else needing quality work at a fair price.
For those scouring social media to end up here, allow me to share a couple of things I learned in my research and dealings with other contractors. In the HVAC world your unit is only as good as the installer. A low end unit installed properly will outlive a high end unit with a shoddy install. If you are doing a full replacement you likely have R22 in your current system. This is in no way compatible with the new refrigerant and must be full cleaned from your lines. If a full clean out of your existing lines is not in the bid, don’t walk, RUN. Most installers will not tell you it’s best to get a full duct cleaning for sake of keeping the bid low. Don’t fall for it, it needs done. You wouldn’t change your oil and leave that old filter, don’t suck a decades worth of dust and pet hair into your brand new unit. Check the AZROC, is your contractor licensed, bonded, and insured? How long have they been in business? Your labor warranty isn’t worth the power it’s printed on if the fly by night Craigslist special is out of business.
If you’ve hung on this long, let me leave you with one last thing. The bitterness of poor quality is remembered long after the sweetness of low price has faded from memory.

Provided by YP.comNot timely with responses on phone calls, or they say they will call you and days go by without a word from them. Took weeks to get replacement parts for my heater, due to them not wanting to order the parts online and wanting to find them at a local supply house. They just throw parts at equipment that isn't working and hope that solves the problem. They did not trouble shoot, properly look over or clean the ducting on this heater that has not been connected to gas or ran in over 8 years. They show up without calling or they say that they'll be at the house at a certain time and call a half hour later then their arrival time and ask for directions because they didn't grab the address before leaving their shop. Completely disappointed with this company. I could have purchased a whole new heater for the amount they charged in parts and labor. Also, for $650 my heater still barely works, and they have been to my house 6 times.
