We have been taking our Labs to Comet Vet since we moved to Mesa in 2011. We are extremely fussy about veterinary care as we consider our dogs our children. Dr. Recupero has pulled us through some pretty hairy situations and saved one of our Labs from a very nasty infection that by all rights should have killed him. Dr. Recupero refused to give up. He also does not try to sell us anything we don't need. He's honest about the way forward even when things were pretty bleak a couple of times. He was very kind and gentle when we had to say goodbye to two of our geriatric Labs. His staff is wonderful and outgoing and going there is always a pleasure. If you are looking for a great vet, this is the place for you!

I have used Comet Vet Hospital since 2001 with all my dogs. This doctor is amazing with pets and all my animals liked his mellow attitude. He is attentive to the pets and me and my family call him Dr Dolittle at home. lol I have referred many friends there and they all loved him.

Hes in it for the pet, not your money. My sister in law, and her friend were both jipped at alta mesa where they tried to run a bunch of tests and charge alot of money. They both took their dogs here and he found out what was really wrong with out doing unessesary things. Right now he has my dog soda in his hospital to figure out why he won't eat even though all his labs and cultures show nothing is wrong. I can see the true concern he has for my sweet dog, and I trust him completely.

i first went to the hospital with my neighbor to pick up her cat Herbert, who had suffered smoke inhalation from their garage fire.he was fine, & stayed with me a couple of weeks.then the dog i was fostering (now we've adopted her)had a cyst under her spay stitches that burst - so i frantically called and i was at the vets 10 minutes later with the wonderful staff taking care of both of us :-) and Dr Recupero checking Myrtle out. the nurses/techs are very helpful and answered all my questions,gave me leaflets...couldn't have done more. my experience was great and comet veterinary is my family vet now !
