Provided by YP.comI ordered the famous caldillo (soup) and the broth was not flavorful. It's served in a very small cup and very expensive. Overall all prices are very expensive.

Walking into the building is decieving. The entrance is an old non-descript wooden door, but entering, one is in a beautiful renovated Mexican lobby - decorated with excotic fish. The restaurant is an ond tavern or ranch house- wondefully done in traditional Mexican colors and textures. The food is extremely well done, with large portions and very reasonably priced.

Provided by YP.comLa Posta is one of my favorites....and if you lived in Cruces before and come back to visit, it's a must go! There's a reason why so many visitors go there (and a lot do)...it's because their hosts know without a doubt the food will be consistently good, the chili a consistent temperature and always clean and a beautiful sample of the Mexican decor. The aviary is so much fun with parrot, cockatoo and tucan hosts that are always entertaining. The prices are moderate and reasonable. I love their little take out section tucked in the back of the gift store. Fresh La Posta to go! Yum!! There's been amazing expansion of late and it is beyond me how they were able to do it so seemlessly. Their kitchen was honored by the US Navy when the gally of the USS New Mexico was named "La Posta" and the ships kitchen staff are trained right on sight to cook the La Posta way. Tom and Jerene Hutchinson, the owners, have done a magnificent job maintaining and upgrading a Las Cruces treasure! Don't miss it!!

Provided by YPmobileThis place is good for out of town people who would like to explore old mesilla and eat in a place with an exotic atmosphere. They have birds and fish in the waiting area. The food is definitely not the best Mexican in town. Thus why it is good to people visiting LC cuz they dont know better. I am usually disappointed with their food every time. People who eat here generally do so for the atmosphere. If you're looking for awesome Mexican food try one of the not so publicized restaurants. Such as Andeles or El Comedor. Never been disappointed there!
