I heard this place had great pizza that is not what I got!! Overcooked and very greasy first time I tried it weeks later had it at a friends same thing. There is much better places in Metairie

You will not find a better pizza restaurant in the New Orleans area. That 's Amore Pizzeria is better than some really fantastic Pizza Restaurants in New Orleans, better than Slice Pizza and Italian Pie. You can't go wrong with either the Chicago style pizza or New York style pizza. The crust is awesome and the pizza is spiced just right. It's a small quaint restaurant with extremely friendly service, be ready for some great Brat Pack Music!! Can't wait to go back.

SUPER YUMMY!! THE FOOD IS SOOO GOOD AND THE PEOPLE WHO OWN IT ARE VERY SWEET. IT HAS A VERY COMFORTABLE ENVIRONMENT. IT IS A CUTE LITLLE PLACE WITH ALOT OF PERSONALITY. IF YOU WANT TO SUPPORT A LOCAL SMALL BUISNESS I HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS ONE. THE MUSIC IS GREAT AND THE PIZZA IS AMAZING!!!

I love the New York Pizza - their dough is made fresh daily and they have several topping to choose from. Their lasagna is also very good. The atmosphere is great, they play Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra music. The owners are very friendly.

Husband, kids (12 & 10) and I ate here recently. The pizza was great but the service is horrible. We sat sown and waited for someone to come over for a while. When some guy in shorts and a grungy tee shirt came over to take our order, I told him we didn't have menus and it was our first time there. He brought some and then stayed at the bar talking for about another 10 minutes. We placed our order for 2 NY style pizzas - the first one came out about 15 minutes later and we waited and waited... Our kids ate some of there and when the waitress asked how everything was, we told her we didn't know because we were still waiting for the other. It came out soon after and we had the kids' boxed. Then we were ready for the bill - we were verbally told the price. We asked for a receipt and was told it is not possible to generate one. My husband (who is a hotel F&B) could not understand this and figures the employees may be stealing. We are ordering take out from there tonight, so we'll see what it brings...

I am not going to lie the food here is pretty good, but the ownerhip sucks. I hear that they dont want certin types of people in their business but to me when you are a new business and your not doing that well you should take all the business you can get.

My husband and I decided to try different restaurants every time we go out to eat. We've been using the Yellow Pages as a guide. We found "That's Amore Pizzeria". I'm so glad we did. I've been to Chicago and had pizza there and this is just like it. It's a quiet little place nice music and a large tv (for those interested) but you better not be in a hurry...the Chicago style takes about 40 minutes but very much worth the wait.
