I was at carmel at california club looking to rent a property. My family and I were waiting for the owner to show up. I was sitting on the steps and joy approaches me very rude and asks "do you live here? " my husband and I said no. She then quickly says "then you need to leave the property! !" I told her I was there to view a unit and I checked in with security already, she replies "security let's all type of people in here! " I told her I don't have to explain myself to her. She then tells me good luck getting approved because I'm the president! !! Never in my life have I been disrespected at what I thought was a nice community. She profiled me and my family and threatened to not approve us. Somebody like that should not be in charge of an association, if a tenant has all the necessary requirements needed the decision should be based on that!!
