Provided by YP.comI'm in the spa business and work for a high end spa in Miami. I came to get a massage here by Marcy with my Gilt City voucher. The place is very modern and well decorated. I was going to be the first appointment of the day at 10 AM. When I arrived, 10 minutes before 10:00, the salon hadn't even been opened. I am greeted and asked what service I'm there for, in which I got a bad feeling that something wasn't right. He says that she was unaware of the booking that I made the previous day in the afternoon. So, he says that I can reschedule and get a free service for my troubles. I'm very grateful for that and I'm happy for the gesture to want to make things right.
So I went in for the massage, and first things first, the table wasn't heated and the sheets were cheap-feeling and not very soft at all. The initial touch of the massage wasn't calming and there was no introduction or connection to start the massage. She didn't keep in contact with me the whole time or keep a hand on me while she moved around. She had long fingernails that kept scratching my skin and poor transitional movements, if any at all. The music was too loud and fast and not relaxing. I left with oil all over because she slathered way too much on me, again no rhyme or reason or fluidity, also poor draping skills. I don't mean to be a complainer, but this definitely wasn't a great massage. I left very unimpressed and wishing for my money back instead of another service.
