Provided by YP.comI just got promoted to Black Belt last night. I've seen this sport go from NHB (No Holds Barred) to MMA. I was there when vale tudo shorts were cool, not cool, and cool again lol! I've been at FFA for more than a decade now, and I am forever grateful for all I have learned and will continue to learn, thank you to the Avellan brothers and FFA.

Provided by YP.comI've been here at FFA for about 5 months in the mma program. It's a great place, definitely beginner friendly. When I first started, I had no martial arts experience, but my coaches and my fellow classmates have been really supportive. It's a great program. I learned a lot. I feel mmore confident, I got into better shape. I recommend it for everyone. There's a 30-day free trial so check it out!

Provided by YP.comI work for a prison and I decided to join FFA for self defense. When I got here I learned that it was more than just coming here. I learned a couple techniques, this place feels like a family environment and that drove me here everyday. It will change your life. If you want to just try learn a couple of punches, you'll definitely come back here I guarantee that. All I can say I recommend it. I can't imagine anything right now besides coming here at FFA every night. It's worth all your troubles and sacrifices to push through and reach your goals.

Provided by YP.comI’ve been going to FFA for about 9 years now and I’ve been involved in martial arts for over 20 years, and I have to say that this school is the best. Everyday I’m still learning and still growing. It’s like I find something new each class, There’s no limits to what you can learn here. If you’re just a casual hobbyist or a competitor, or anything in between- this is the place to be. Come check it out!

Provided by YP.comI’ve been training in FFA for about a year and 7 months now. Right now I’m in their amateur fight team. The coaches here have been a great inspiration to me. They are great fighters and great training partners. The gym has been really good to me and helped me to understand and learn the mixed martial arts. I’ve been improving on my striking in mma. Here in this fight team, there are a lot of good training partners. The whole gym itself is really really well. The instructors and the coaches here really take their time to help me learn. The classes are amazing. They really show you how to really get the full fundamentals of competing in mixed martial arts. This is great gym, it’s big enough, it’s cage, everything and anything you would want in a mma gym is here. It’s amazing. It’s the best training you’ll ever have.

Provided by YP.comIf you go in after looking at their website and their 30 day or 60 day free trials, make sure you do not get hustled into paying anything upfront. I made that mistake and ended up signing a contract which forfeited my 30 day free trial. Also there is a clause in the contract that states that the 60 day money back guarantee can only be used if you attend every class during that 60 day period, if you miss one day you forfeit that right. Furthermore, to be able to cancel any membership or request a refund they direct you to a member services department where I have had one of the worst customer service experiences in my life. My first e-mail to them was me presenting the problem, when I did not receive a response back from them after a week I sent them another e-mail asking why I was being ignored, the member services agent named Eduardo then informed me that since I did not explicitly ask a question, my e-mail did not need to be responded to. Since then he has been extremely rude, and has not assisted me at all with any sort of refund. Everyone please beware of this gym and their false advertising.

Provided by YP.comBoth my sons go to FFA and it is one of the best decisions I have ever made for my kids. There are lots of activities such as soccer, football, etc., but the martial arts at FFA I think is the best choice because along with teaching self defense the kids are learning great values such as discipline, respect, and other values. You can listen to the speeches the instructors teach and the life lessons, incredible team of coaches.

Provided by YP.comI had taken my kids to two other dojos before landing at FFA. Coach Che is an amazing coach and the overall atmosphere at FFA is extremely positive and great for kids, highly recommended.

Provided by YP.comI'm very passionate about FFA and I really want to go to the fight team that they have here. When I started here, I weighed 180lbs, and right now I weigh 165lbs. So far I lost 15 lbs which is really good. I didn't just lose the weight, I got toned.

Provided by YP.comI came from Honduras because I heard of the FFA through Youtube, especially with the tip of the week with Coach Marcos. I just want to say that this is a great academy. You'll feel welcome even though you're new. You'll learn so much, I just came here to train here for a week, but I think I learned about a month's training over here. Everybody's so helpful, if you want to up your skills, whether you're looking for Jiujitsu, wrestling, kickboxing, or you want to do the whole MMA, this is the academy you'll want to go to. The price is good, the coaches are awesome, there is no age, size, or whatever limit. If you just want to go train hard, this is your academy. I came all the way from Honduras and I'm just very very happy I just got to train over here.

Provided by YP.comI've been training at FFA for four years on and off. It's the best thing I've ever done in my life. I'm going to be 54 years old and this is my fountain of youth. I recommend highly for any age. It's a great workout. You don't need to fight if you don't want. It's just a great way to work out. It brings your youth back.

Provided by YP.comIf I could give FFA 6 Stars I would. From the moment I walked in the doors I felt at home. I've done martial arts before and there is always this "traditionalist" aspect where beginners are not very respected. At FFA I've been treated as family and that has really helped me remain confident and enthusiastic. I've made good friends and my health has improved. 6 Stars for sure !!!!

Provided by YP.comI have trained at 2 other "so called" MMA schools in South Florida. But FFA is the real thing. The other schools taught BJJ and Kick-Boxing but they were different classes on different days. During BJJ they only taught Gi techniques and NO takedowns. The kick-boxing intructors were not MMA fighters and showed only striking.
At FFA they address all the ranges of the fight. The take downs, the striking, the stand-up grappling the submissions.............All in one class. Real MMA !!!!!
I recommend FFA to anyone looking to train real MMA.
