Ok,first off,I'm brand new to collecting, just got into silver and trying to learn and stack. This was the second store i visited. I know I'm just a newbie, bwtf man, treated me like a waste of time, and I kinda am. I get it, I'm not buying a couple Krugerrands, like the lady in front of...atleast not today. But I'm a quick study and could become a good customer later. My last point, as a newbie, I'm excited, oooo new world of coins, so, I'm what you call an easy sale. I probably have a couple hundred burning a hole in my pocket. ..tsk tsk.

So here is how it went. I actually found decent parking after only 15 min of driving around on Saturday afternoon (rare in Miami ).

The store is right on coral way, so easy to find. Upon being buzzed in, I was not greeted well. There was 2 guys and a girl. One guy was busy with a customer ,so the girl apprehensively greeted me. Now, I can't fault the girl, I've been in sales and service most my life, and within moments I know she has no product knowledge...not her fault...but very frustrating, I'm in the mood to shop, sell me something! Every time I ask a simple question, like; do you have Australian coins? Do you 5 Oz coins? Price over spot? She would revert to one of the guys. Tsk tsk. After one month of hobby collecting I have more knowledge? I don't think those were tough questions. So finally one of the guys takes a minute to talk to me, I ask for some suggestions for a beginner. Aaaand forget it, couldn't be bothered. So I got to the point and asked for price on generic and AE's, $2.50 and $5. Thank you for your time, good bye.

I did go to Miami gold coins, south Miami, small cramped store, but I liked it. The guy was super nice, strong and fair sales pitch, as well non rushed. He even took a sale of 4 gold AE's in between my lesson /sale encouraging me to stick around, there's more to talk about. I bought $240 and plan for more.

Last word, if you are already a numismatist you may have a totally different experience as I'm sure they are knowledgeable and have a selection, so enjoy. But for new Hobbyists skip this place and go Miami Gold Coins. Dueces y'all
