He charged me for labor in advance on a part that he never ordered and he asked me for more money. He lied to me weekly as to why it didn'tshow up. Then got rude when I asked where the part was. I wish I would have read the other reviews before I went there

Stay away from this people. I took a TroyBuilt weed eater to be repaired. I was told that the problem was the carburetor and that it would cost $50 to repair and it would be ready the next day, and I had to give a $30 cash deposit. When I picked up the "supposedly" repaired equipment I was told it had been repaired and tested and that I had a 30 day guarantee. When I tried to start the equipment at home it would not start and I took it back. I was then told that maybe the problem was the spark plug or the coil, and to change the spark plug and see if that fixed the problem. I told them that I doubted that they had tested the equipment because if it had a sparkplug or coil issue it would not have started. Anyway, I purchased the spark plug at a local store and was given the exact same part number. I installed the spark plug and also did a quick check to see if I had a spark. I had a spark and the machine would not start which meant I likely had a carburetor problem that had not been fixed. I went back to the store and the man said that unless I had purchased the spark plug at Sears it was the incorrect part number; I obviously told him that he did not know what he was talking about. He insisted that he was the mechanic and he knew better; we got into a long discussion that did not get us anywhere. The man was not only rude and did not have any customer service skills, but he was also a lousy mechanic with apparently little knowledge of how to repair the equipment. Stay away from this place, they did not repair the equipment, they were rude, and they did not honor their warranty. There are other places nearby and I wish I had gone to them. Their acts also suggested why they wanted a cash deposit; they probably had issues before and a credit card would have resulted in a refund whereas cash was up to them to return. If I were you, I would stay away from then; in my opinion they are the worst I have seen in a long time! They get zero stars from me.
