Modern Vietnamese Restaurant located off of Biscayne Blvd in Miami, FL, curated by Chef Cesar Zapata and Ani Meinhold. Tongue in cheek, the word "Phuc" actually means "blessings and prosperity." Not only is “Phuc” the best word in the UrbanDictionary, but it actually means something positive - Phuc Yea! In 2011, Phuc Yea opened in downtown Miami as the city's first pop-up concept. Fueled by old school hip hop and graffiti, Zapata and Meinhold dish up Vietnamese eats deeply inspired by family recipes fused with their personal experiences and cooking styles. The food is distinctly 'theirs', vibrant, bold and layered. Leave your expectations at the door. Phuc Yea is 100% conceptual. Not your typical noodle & pho shop. Come with an open mind. I do have many favorites: Bao with pork belly, Mama Roll
and papaya salad. Just impossible to pin point on one fav. they have many varieties of delicious choices. I will try all listed in the menu no doubt.
Overall food is deliciously prepared and served. Service is a tat slow. But if you are there with wonderful company , slow service gives you a great chance to socialize and enjoy the ambiance. No complaint in that sense. Highly recommended. Go during week nights and they do take reservations. Enjoy!
