Three complaints: (1) The manager charges $14.98 to park here. That is the highest price I have paid for parking in my twenty years of driving trucks. And (2) he charges in increments from 6am until 6pm. He charged me that amount and my permission to park here EXPIRES at 6am tomorrow! He doesn't charge in 24 hour increments. For example, if I had arrived here at 5am, he would have charged the same amount ($14.98) to park for an hour until 6am. And (3) his policy forbids leaving the truckstop while my vehicle is parked here. I have friends in Florida and I don't appreciate the manager telling me that I can't call them and ask them to come and pick me up for a visit with them while I'm here, even if parking were free, let alone if I paid him $14.98 to park here. He has forgotten which one of us is the customer. And this truckstop has no laundry (no washers and dryers) and very little parking (it's a small lot), and the smell of urine was the first thing that I noticed when I opened my truck door after I parked. I had to move my truck forward several feet out into the thru way to keep from smelling urine around my truck. This place shouldn't charge more than $5.00 for 24 hours, and it should be counted in 24 hour increments (starting when the trucker arrives), not from 6am until 6pm. And the manager has no authority to detain paying customers on his premises. If I have rented a parking space, then I should be free to leave the premises as long as the fee has been paid and the 24 hours hasn't expired.
