This place is horrible. Sick dogs for a high premium price. PLEASE STAY AWAY or expect a hefty pet bill and a dead dog.

Terrible business/owners

They tried to falsify information about my dogs DOB squeezing a 3 I front of a 1 on the birth records saying she was born 12-31-07 instead of 12-1-07. When it was clear they had received the fax stamp on the bottom said 12-12-07, before she was even born? The association their breeding dogs are supposedly part of is not selective and any dog can join. They also did not keep up with vaccinations and she had worms when I bought her. I went back a few days later to get the correct paper work because they said it was switched with another dogs and one of the owners tried to snatch the papers I had away from me when I questioned them. I called the police and with no luck I turned to Animal Services. She was sent to court and only received fines. I met someone shortly after buying my dog that said they stopped doing business with this person because they purchase dogs from puppymills. The owner, her husband and son change the name and ownership to avoid bad publicity. I'm shocked they're still in business. My dog has had immune disorders her whole life and is now suffering from mast cell tumors at only five. If there was an option to give ZERO stars I would.

This people are the worst I ha...

This people are the worst I have seen. I was sold a puppy by the owner Karina and the puppy had Parvo. I only had her for less than a week when she started having diareah and vomiting. She told me the puppy was fine and it could not be posible. This woman was banned by the AK for 10 years! how can she have a store!. She served time, how can she have a store? They are playing with people's emotions and the lives of these poor animals that do not have a voice. NEVER BUY A PUPPY HERE! NEVER!

Horrible!

This pet shop is horrible and run by evil people. The owner is very ignorant and rude. She does not care one bit about the animals she sells; she is only concerned about profits and losses. I was given a dog as a gift from this shop. It turns out my dog has a dubious pedigree. He also came down with pneumonia a few days after I received my dog. The bill from the vet came out to $1,000. The owner said that the dog probably contracted the pneumonia from the cold weather...humans don't even contract pneumonia from cold weather (old wives' tale). The vet assured me that the pneumonia had to have developed in the pet shop. The owners of this shop should go BACK to jail.

Carmel on the Case reports

WSVN -- Pedro Martinez planted himself firmly in front of our camera to block the picture of his wife and step son entering a Palm Beach County courtroom.

Karina Pubchara and Jorge Pubchara had pleaded guilty to animal cruelty and were about to begin serving a 30-day jail sentence.

The pair abandoned seventy-nine suffering dogs in filthy runs. Cruelty Investigator: "This one is really in bad shape."

It was two years ago when authorities were called to the Puppyland Kennel and found conditions so terrible - every dog was seized.

Investigators believe puppies born here were sold at pet stores the mother and son operated in Miami-Dade.

Back then karina pubchara told me the conditions at the kennel weren't all that bad.

She has denied wrong doing for more than a decade.

My first story on Pubchara was in 1991 when a customer claimed she paid for a purebred dog and got a mixed breed dog instead.

Carmel Cafiero:"She also says she got no documents as the law requires."

Back then, we found dead and dying puppies behind her Flagler pet shop. Pubchara racked up so many complaints and so many fines at the Flagler shop and at a shop in Kendall - Miami-Dade Police shut her down.

Pedro Martinez: "I know my rights."

That day, Pedro Martinez even had to be restrained by police.

And he's still in the middle of things now. When judge Paul Moyle called the mother and son - Martinez walked up.

Judge Paul Moyle: "Then why did you come up when I called George Pubchara? You shouldn't be here. Go back and have a seat please."

At this point the Pubchara's owe Miami-Dade County more than $23,000 dollars in outstanding fines for the way they operated their pet shops.

But it is in Palm Beach County where they will have to do time.

James Cunna: "A lot of them had disease. Some of them were just so malnourished that the ones that couldn't be adopted were put to sleep."

The day's events however were far from over. Our interview with the prosecutor -- interrupted.

James Cunna: "It's to run concurrent on each count."

Pedro Martinez: "Carmen Cafiero, you have to be in front of God!"

Pedro Martinez again became the center of attention.

Pedro Martinez: "After what you're doing in Miami a lot of dirty things you're doing in Miami. You know sooner or later I see you in Miami."

After they do their 30 days, the pair will be on probation for the next year. A special provision - they are not allowed to be involved in the breeding or selling of puppies. So they are out of the puppy business - at least for now.
