Dr. Diwanji joined the University of Miami faculty in 2018 and both his clinical and research interests are focused on Brain Tumors and Thoracic tumors. He serves as the Director of Stereotactic Radiation Therapy and the co-Director of Proton Therapy. Prior to joining the University of Miami, he completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Maryland Medical Center, where he had the privilege of serving as a Chief Resident. Before that, he did his internship in General Surgery at Union Memorial Hospital where he was awarded the Viresh Patel Award for Intern of the year. He completed his undergraduate training in Biomedical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he graduated with distinction. He then went on to complete his MD from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. His philosophy on treating cancer is that it takes a team of doctors and he is an active participant in numerous Multi-Disciplinary Tumor Boards. Above all, he is a tireless clinician focused on providing the very best patient centered care.
