Did not fully investigate the problem or symptoms. Car was having steering trouble (stiff steering, hard to turn from low speeds, intermittent problems) took to dealer, and dealer sent vehicle to stones to be check out, because dealer could not find problem. Stones auto could not replicate the problem, and rudely told me that steering will get stiff when approaching the end of steering wheel turnable radius. This isnt my first car, I am well aware of that fact but this problem was different. After being told nothing was wrong, i started the car and the car showed symptoms of the problem. I did not turn off the car, walked inside and insisted that a technician look and drive for himself. The tech noticed the problem. Did not test the power steering pump or rack and pinion. Tech determined from very little testing that a new steering rack was needed from a small flat spot. Steering rack was replaced at dealers location. The new rack did not remedy the problem. Turns out the car needed a new power steering pump and rack and pinion which is easily diagnosed if tested. Wish the shop would have done more thorough testing into problem. Not going back.

I have used Stone's since 1979 and the service has always been very good. If you are looking for a good honest mechanic shop no further these guys are great.
