-- We've worked extensively with Combat Paper, an organization that encourages military veterans to transform their uniforms into paper upon which they then create art or use it for some other purpose. It's a very cathartic experience for the veterans and since Donna is a Marine Corps veteran herself, it's a very personal project. -- We volunteer for political campaigns whenever we can. We've hosted in-home meetings, handed out brochures, knocked on doors, etc. We believe it is everyone's responsibility to be involved with the most important decisions that affect us all. -- We also work with Operation Sock Monkey, a small non-profit organization that teaches sock monkey workshops, gives sock monkeys to children around the world, and donates collected monies to Clowns Without Borders. -- Recently, we traveled to Kenya to work with Agristewards, a worthwhile organization that teaches struggling farmers how to farm smartly as well as how to cultivate "bad" soil into "good" growing soil. During this 2-week visit, we also took the opportunity to pass out sock monkeys to children in the slums of Nairobi and teach a couple workshops to older girls and boys.
