Longwood High School, located in Middle Island, N.Y., is a public school that offers educational and extracurricular programs to students in grades nine through 12. More than 3,000 students are enrolled in the school that offers subjects, such as English, social studies, mathematics, science, physical education and fine arts. In addition, it offers foreign language courses in French, Italian and Spanish. It also offers a number of sports activities, including golf, football, soccer, tennis, cross country, volleyball, basketball, bowling, track, wrestling, baseball, softball, lacrosse and cheerleading. The parent-teacher association involves parents in a variety of community activities to aid the educational process. The school is affiliated to the Longwood Central School District.
