From the first time I went to Orion 7 I knew it was a special place: dedicated to the M1 Garand and M1 Carbine. But what struck me more was that unlike many gun shops which are like old boys' clubs where you wait on someone to help you whlie they carry on with personal business, Tony the owner was there to help me with my first Garand from CMP about which I knew close to zero. It was a 1943 SA with an orginal barrel and USGI stock. He checked the TE and ME, looked over the rest of the riifle and told me I got a really nice Garand. I had a list of items I thought I needed and after I told Tony what I wanted he told me I only needed half the stuff I wrote down for now, don't know another store that would have done that. .When I thanked him once for his great service to me considering I only spent a little money, he said it wasn't the amount people spend but their character that counted.
