P.S. 049 Dorothy Bonawit Kole provides educational and enrichment programs to more than 490 students in kindergarten through grade six. It is a Columbia University project school. The school has educational alliances with the Carnegie Hall and American Ballroom Dance Company. It is affiliated with The New York City Department of Education. The school organizes a variety of extended-day programs that supports enrichment classes, as well as serves at-risk students. P.S. 049 Dorothy Bonawit Kole also conducts special classes in band, chorus and tennis.
