When my dryer broke under warranty, Electrolux contracted with Basin Appliance Repair to come and fix it. He arrived on time - which is about the only positive thing that I can say. He spent just a couple minutes looking at the dryer - pushed the button and determined that it needed new computer boards. He said that he would order them and be back in about a week to complete the repair. 6 days later I had not heard from him so I called to leave a message with my phone number (instead of my husband's who was out of town). I never heard back. I left a message the next day as well. I never heard anything. I sent an email the following day requesting a call just to confirm he had the correct contact information. Again, I never heard from him. Over the next week, I contacted Electrolux several times trying to get a service update. They were unable to make contact with Basin either. Two weeks went by and I FINALLY got him on the phone. I gave my name and said I had been expecting him to return my call for quite a while. In one breath he said that he cancelled my call for service and hung up on me. I have never received such poor customer service. He was not thorough in his problem diagnosis. He was not professional or courteous in providing a return phone call or service update. He was down right rude in hanging up on my w/o explanation. He never actually provided the service he was contracted for. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I used Basin two years ago to fix my washer. He did a good reasonable job. Now the same washer is broke down since Dec. 24 with the same problem. Basin came out once and said it is just a wire. He has not returned to fix it, nor look at the two boxes of parts that GE sent me, nor does he return my phone calls. I referred him to a friend last winter to fix her washer. He scheduled an appointment with her but never showed up and never called her. I won't be doing business with Basin again nor will I refer him to anyone.

I called Randy to come and get a blender that had "malfunctioned". Turns out that I had simply blown a fuse. But, I let him come by the house anyway because I had a couple of fans I wanted him to fix. When he showed up and I copped to the blown fuse scenario, he just laughed. Then I showed him the fans. He told me they were both designed to be tossed. He couldn't fix them. Now I felt badly. So, I mentioned a water cooler which hadn't been working for a couple of years. Yes! He worked on water coolers! So we went out to the garage where I explained to him what it had been doing ( heating the water in the bottle ) and he turned it around and showed me a screw which was like a thermostat adjuster. He explained what I should do to try and fix it myself. He said if it worked it would keep on working. I asked how much the part would be if we had to replace it. He told me about $150. He gave me a card and left. No charge.Now, needless to say, he could have turned a waste of his time scenario into a $150 job very easily. He could have taken the water cooler with him, done what he told me to do, and, if it worked, charged me $150, which I would have gladly paid to have my water cooler functional again. What would I know? But, he didn't.That kind of integrity and character is all to rare in the world. I am writing this review to say this: If you have an appliance that isn't working and needs repair, please do business with this man. You can trust him. He will deal with you fairly and honestly. He proved that to me. I actually hope that something breaks down so that I can call him to fix it as a small payment for the way he does business! Maybe I shouldn't have said that.
