Since 1984, MICROspecialties Inc. has been manufacturing disposable ophthalmic blades. Located in Middletown, Conn., it offers a range of products, including disposable radial keratotomy blades, cannulas, ultrasounds, and IOL's and Microkeratome blades, Accu-Ped surgical slipper, drapes, gowns, knives and tubing. It also provides disposable composite footwear, Keratome blades and ophthalmic cannulas. Its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility includes a 2,400-square-foot warehouse, 2,200-square-foot assembly area and 600 square feet of clean room for final cleaning and packaging of the microKeratome blades.
