Very friendly atmosphere, knowledgeable staff. Great prices. Really can't beat it. Got my first guitar here, and everything else I've needed for it since (7+ years). Recording gear, a wide range of instruments, and even gift items (key chains, pick holders, t-shirts with company logos, tears in the sun hot sauce and more). Highly recommend visiting!

Great selection, friendly staff, best prices! Came in for an sm57 looking to spend about 100 max, the sales guys have me a deal for 80!!! Highly recommend going here for audio gear

Alto music is the most complete store in the area. They carry QUALITY instruments. Their staff is knowledgeable, and their technician has gone above and beyond for me and my colleagues on numerous occasions for last minute fixes on our horns. This mom n pop has it all, def worth a trip!

My first journey to Alto Music was few years ago with my son LeLando.

Instead of in & out, for what he was purchasing & getting technical info regarding upgrading some of his recording studio equipment...

Then our fingers went softly dansing on the key board of the piano's... It was then that I noticed an umbrella stand with Violin Bows... And I purchased 5 of them that were previously in the dansing hands of of music student.

As a TransVolutionary Improvisationalist they have been dansing on my Tibetan Bowels & Gongs.....

Thank you for being here in the Hudson River Valley...

I was there most recently to purchase 2 more violin bows that I tantalize in an orthodoxly unorthodox manner that always goes

dansing without notes & works when he would then listen to the recording of that days joiurney into the sound waves of music.

As a professor said to me years ago...
