Established in 1997, Maple Hill Elementary School provides a range of educational and enrichment programs for students in grades two through five. It is governed by the Middletown City School District, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. The district s schools provide instruction in language and literacy, math, science, and social and self care skills. Its schools offer various extracurricular activities, such as dance, volleyball, soccer and gymnastics. The Middletown City School District s schools also provide a peer mediation program that assists students in dealing with problem solving among their peers in a nonviolent manner. The district s schools have library and media centers and operate parent-teacher organizations.
