Provided by YP.comI have been a patient for 35+ years and have loved the doctors here. I had an in-person sick visit scheduled for today. I am fully Covid vaccinated, and my family received negative Covid test results yesterday. I have a history of pulmonary embolisms with symptoms that mimic Covid symptoms and I need looked at, specifically my lungs which have been damaged. Family Practice has decided to no longer see anyone in office showing any Covid symptoms, regardless of health history. They would instead like me to pay for a telehealth "visit" over the phone. This is of no use to me, as they cannot check my lungs over the phone. I will be finding a new doctor and am very disappointed.

Provided by YP.comIf your diabetic or elderly, find another dr besides Dr Vernon! We almost lost our mother due to his incompentce. He walked out during an office
visit because he was pissed we got a second opinion. There is No excuse in walking out on a patient and not treating their condition. He will NOT give a referral or order the correct test, just blames symptoms on age. After firing him, we finally have the correct diagnosis and have answers that should have been answered two years ago had he done his job right in the first place and left his ego out of it. There are far better physians in Middletown to chose from that WILL listen and do something rather than ignore the patient and their family concerns. His record keeping is a joke! Mostly canned statements with incorrect info at times. Had he done his job correctly two years ago, my mothers suffering now could had been reduced if not avoided in the first place. I would NOT recommend Dr Veron to anyone who loves their family member!

Provided by YPmobileOK, I have went to this doctor office since 1980. We got in and had Dr. John Ryan and he was an outstanding doctor! For many years we got great satisfaction! He retired and moved to North Carolina to be with his kids in 2007. Not only was he a great doctor but be was a good friend of our entire family and he even joined us for our family reunions in Kentucky. Now, after he left the practice, they replaced him with Dr. Mary Krebs. Me and my sister seen her and I decided that she wasn't for me. So I left to a different office for about a year and decided to go back to this practice and went to be with Dr. Matthew Vernon! He was tolerable for some time but he seemed that he didn't want to treat me for what was going on. He really didn't seem to involved with his patients and from what you can find online and also from what you can hear from others that he did not know exactly what he was doing. As a matter of fact, I went to him for a problem once and he looked at me and said what do you want me to do about it? I said you are the doctor that's why I am here! He obviously don't know exactly what he is doing. Yea he might talk nice to your face but I guarantee you that you are just a hundred dollar bill to him! The way he treated me at the end sure showed he didn't give a f*** about me at all. Remember, I have gone here since 1980. This past Friday May 2, 2014, I was having withdrawal symptoms from taking Oxycodone 30 mg. Tabets 6 times a day for back pain associated with a surgery where I fell at work. Last month when I went to see my pain doctor I forgot to take all my pills with me because I never kept them all together because of safety reasons and possible theft. Yes I forgot them but they would not let me go back home to get them. So, I had to take the heat. OK. I understand and I messed up. Sorry so now what? They decided to dismiss me because the count was off. That was the original reason why. So they gave me half of what I was getting and that was it. I did ween myself down the best I could and they stretched along with the others at home until April 30. Now mind you I was on this for 3 years!!!! Never had I ever failed a drug count or a drug test EVER!!!!! So here I am having issues, and I asked Dr. Vernon to see if he could help by giving me something to subside the symptoms. He went and called that pain clinic and talked to Angela Seibert the office manager. She told my doctor that they dismissed me because I had failed a drug screen!!! I was floored!!! They said that I had sold all my pills and that I didn't have any in my system at all!! That was total bull and have plenty of witnesses that know I took my meds. I am in lots of pain, why the hell wouldn't I take my meds. So Dr. Knox pain clinic aka integrated pain management dismissed me and then Dr. Vernon told me that since I failed their drug screen that he too had to dismiss me. Bull. Karma is a b**** and it will come back around and I will be the last one laughing when it does!!! The bad thing is Dr. Vernon never ever sent me to the pain clinic. A different doctor did. Also, he went on what another individual told him as it was negative towards me. Angela Seibert lied and I know she wanted me out of there because just a few months before, I had Anthemn insurance. I ended up on Medicaid because my other great insurance ran out and they wouldn't get as much from me now so that's why I believe this has happened!! They can sock it to the major insurances but they cannot do that to the government!! Three years ago when I first seen Dr. Thomas Knox his office was so so busy because it was a legal pill mill. He was wall to wall and when you seen him he couldn't write the prescriptions out fast enough. He never examined you. All he asked is where and how much do you hurt and lots of times he didn't even do that!! These past few months they have really thinned out the clinic over there. As a matter of fact they even took out a row of chairs!

Provided by YP.comThis was my first trip to a doctor's office in over a year, and until I was diagnosed with diabetes, I NEVER visited one unless I was having very painful symptoms. I never got physicals (which I still won't), and never submitted to the recommended exams that men should get when we see age fifty in the rear view mirror.
That being said, I didn't know what to expect when I arrived there as a new patient last Friday, but I was very intimidated at first. I was quite certain they would press me to undergo various examinations that I'd never had done, and in fact the very thought of them had literally made my skin crawl. (So I never will submit to them, and I'll deal with whatever consequences may befall me because of it).
Exactly why I'm so adamant regarding this is beyond the scope of this review --- however it's well within in it to say that, although some of these procedures were recommended by the nurse and doctor, when I said no thanks, that was the end of it. And when I told the doctor that I also had gender preferences with respect to examinations, I was told they could accommodate me there also. I felt that was very respectful and it helped to ease my anxiety.
About the only negative thing was that when I called to make my first appointment, I was given the names of two available doctors --- and of course I knew nothing about either one. Only when I asked, did they tell me that one of them was a female. I don't allow examinations by females, so if I had unwittingly selected one and hadn't realized it until I'd arrived to my appointment --- I'd have been very upset and would've likely been back to square-one regarding my treatment for what was then uncontrolled diabetes.
But that issue was thankfully circumvented, and overall my visit to Family Practice Associates went very well!
