My experience at "historic" Bowens Mills can be summed up with a few words. Dishonest and unfriendly to start. The owners charge and arm and a leg for the use of an empty house, and throw the bridesmaids clothing and belongings on the porch when they decide that they no longer need a room to change. Their bait and switch tactics used with their "more than capable" a/v equipment was not only enfuriating, but unprofessional. And then there is the fact that the security deposit has STILL not been paid back, not to mention the outrageous fees they only revealed after payment for the event was made. I would NEVER recommend this venue for anything, to ANYONE. Save yourself stress and lots of money by looking elsewhere for your event.
