Provided by YP.comThis company's owner comes to your house and gets you to sign a contract....in my case it was a pole barn with a loft. He takes your down payment and sets up a payment schedule directly to the vendors as the work progresses, so he is covered from the beginning and has his money. Everything is not spelled out in the contract. In my case I never knew when each step would be completed and I didnt know I would have to spend hrs and days getting all the permits...not to mention the money spent on that. The actual crew was a ragtag mixture of kids including an approximately 12 yr old son of one member. I wanted a second floor that I could at least walk around in but got attic type trusses that I have to bend over to walk around in. There is no venting up stairs even with soffit vents that go nowhere, it gets really hot up there in the summer. When they were done with the pole barn there was no side entrance door. This was eventually resolved by my continual complaining and having the inspector coming out to offer a solution, because the original carpenter didnt have enough knowledge or was too lazy to put that door in. Then to add insult to injury they left a mess for me to clean up. I have a video of that. Also I was left with a massive amount of vinyl siding, OSB boards, 12 ft two by fours, and trash.

Provided by YP.comRun for your life. Do not use these scammers. I am out 20K because of BBB’s owner James Eudis and his contracted builder Mark Price and crew of imbeciles. They did not build what we agreed on, had complete junk of worksmanship and had no issue telling my husband and I that they weren’t going to fix it or build what we agreed to. Owner told us to hire a lawyer before he spead out of my driveway kicking rocks at us in his Jeep Grand Cherokee. I almost called the police. I did contact a lawyer. We are not the sue-happy type and did not proceed with a lengthy legal proceedings and emotional distress.. but the lawyer told us we had a case since our loses were 20K +. I have cried over this numerous times. It’s been debilitating at times. 20K is a lot of money to loose. Had to hire local and experienced builders to completely redo what was done by these goons. I will add a photo I took days ago of some of the work that was taken down, as all of it had to be completely taken down and re-done and for good reason.. these guys don’t know quality, they’re a bunch a young, inexperienced guys going crazy with a nail gun. James Eudis on the other hand is an old man, telling us at one point he takes multiple pain killers a day for an old car accident injury. Maybe under the influence of narcotics dissolved his judgement, senses and soul? I don’t know how these guys stay in business. It’s been over a year since I had to deal with them so life is much better now but the sting of what they did to myself and my family is still there and I hope this helps someone, anyone, in NOT using them. I’ve never been scammed or taken in my life so this was the first. And it still hurts and I’ll never forget the awful and painful experience of using Built Best Barns. You will not get what you want if you want quality work, but you probably won’t get what you asked for period.

Provided by YP.comRun for your life, and find a local builder.. Our nightmare started on April 9 th 2014, when I too was enticed by the lower fee's to erect a barn. Jim Eudis told me they would start building in 2 to 3 weeks, Never happened, The Material didn't get delivered until 5/21, and the builder was slow, when they did show up usually around 10:00am, go to lunch at noon, come back around 3:00 pm and work till 5:00pm, done for the day. It's July 24th 2014, and still isn't complete , Jim Eudis, when he does take your call is short and Abrupt. What was supposed to take 3 weeks to finish, is now going into 3 months..Prince and Walters cement crew, who assured me that they knew how to cement around a drain line and bowl it in, did not follow thru, and covered up my water line 4 feet short of my basement .. Saving a few Dollars, has ended up costing me more since I couldn't put my first cutting of hay in my new barn...THESE GUY'S DON'T CARE...

Provided by YP.comIf you are having a pole barn erected DO NOT USE!!! Built Best Barns. Hire a local builder who is LICENSED and INSURED!!. When I asked his crew for their builders number they told me that they work under Mr, Eudis but on the building permit he claims no employees. This is how it went for me. I contracted Mr. James Eudis to build a 30 x 30 pole barn for me over a year ago and it still is not finished. This project was a nightmare from the start. He promised to start the project in 30 to 40 days after signing the contract. The material was delivered but there was no crew to erect the building. I was told that one of his crew members was involved in a car accident. The material sat in my yard for another month. When a crew did show up it seemed as though this was the first barn they had ever built. They even put the service door so far into the corner of the building that it could not be fully opened, When I told them that it had to be moved the builder got mad and told me that it could open 85% of the way and that was good enough. I had to insist that he move it. Then the crew would disappear for a couple of days at a time dragging the project out even further. When they were done they left their trash scattered all over my property for me to clean up. Then this went from bad to worse. When the concrete men told me that the steel was set at the wrong height and there would be a 3'' bump to drive into the barn the builders came back when I was not home and cut 3'' off of the steel on the front of the building, against my wishes. I did get Mr. Eudis to come to my home and look at this at that time, and I was promised that he would do whatever it would take to make this look right. So far the builders have come back a couple of times. They have not corrected the problem. They did deliver steel to fix this problem which has been sitting in the barn all summer with no one to install it. After a year and a half I have a building with the steel set at different heights on all four sides, a stack of steel sitting inside the building, and Mr Eudis no longer answers his phone or returns calls. Do not be enticed by low prices. I should have hired a local builder. UPDATE: Today my entry door fell out of the building frame and all. It turns out that it was held in place by a couple of sheet rock screws. Another example of their building skills. I would call them and have it taken care of under the warranty that I was given if they would only answer the phone,

Provided by YP.comMr. James Eudis and his company Best Built Barns is very professional - easy to work with - and very customer friendly - we went with light stone metal walls - dark green doors and and a dark green steel roof with white trim - the garage looks great! I am really glad we went with the third door out the back of the garage! The Subcontractor (Dave Bennett's Crew from out of Merrill, MI) that built the garage/pole building did a beautiful job! They cleaned up the area when they were done and they were all very polite. They worked long hours as they were intent on getting the garage up in a timely manner and they were all very respectful. They are a very professional crew! I love my new garage - I can't wait for my sand and cement flooring to come in should be here in the next week or so!
Thank you Best Built Barns and the Dave Bennett Crew,
