Triple AAA recommended Lone Star Automotive so I had my 2011 Mustang towed to their shop to have my clutch system replaced and I was expecting a price of around $1500 due to the fact that the last 2 clutch replacements averaged about $1400 to $1600 so I was floored when Roger gave me an estimate of over $3300 and when I questioned the high price he said labor was a little over $1000 plus the parts that were needed. So the parts must be over $2000 and there is NO WAY.....NO WAY they should even come close to this much. I can purchase a complete clutch kit for around $600 and it includes everything that is needed for the repair. I declined to have the repair made and asked what they would charge if I supplied my own parts (which would be brand new) and Roger said that they DO NOT ALLOW THAT and its shop policy they supply all parts. Never thought the price of the repair would even come close to $3300.

Do not go.. Horrible customer service. I live in Colorado and took my 2013 Acadia into a dealership there for a failed ac. They ran diagnostics and found that temp sensor in passenger side of dash was malfunctioning. I had to leave for work the next day so could not get it fixed. While at work in midland Texas I took my car here with the diagnostics form from the dealership. They did not care about what the paper had to say and said they had to run a diagnostics too, for $130-180 dollars. I asked if they would just change the part, the sensor in the dash, and they said no. Told them I'd think about it for a min and when she came back I said if u guys can't use the dealerships diagnostics or just straight up change the part I want change then I'm gonna go find a mechanic that would. She just said okay and walked a away. I was not rude in any sense of the imagination, was very nice the entire time. I understand them wanting to look at it from their side but don't understand why if I say I want this specific part replaced why they won't do it. If they diagnose it wrong I still have to pay them for all the work they didn't even tho it was wrong. Plus the dealership Had already plugged into the computer and found the reason. Them wanting to do the same for 130-180 is insanity. Oh, I also asked if the diagnostics cost would be free or cheaper if I did use them to fix. She said no. Stay away.

Service bays were clean and neat. Technicians were friendly. Will be doing business here again!

I think the labor price is ridiculous parts are marked up & I believe I'll be taking my many vehicles to Christian brothers automotive

Service was perfect. Waited for the vehicle while they performed the work. Work was complete prior to the time promised; and the work was free, because I had enough Lone Star points from previous service to pay for it.

This is a very professionally run mechanic shop with great service. Good service. Cost is high normal and comparable to dealership service costs.
