John Salter is the only employee at Salter Detective Agency. He makes incredible claims about his agency’s services, to which he has nothing to back them up. He's a Straw-man, a true Scammer. He's an old man with a phone (801) 566-5444 and he’s the only one who answers. His fax number (801) 486-1974 is a non-working number, but he'll give it to you anyway. However, that's nothing compared to the act he puts on and the falsification of information he'll give you about your case. He mislead us for 8 months that he was working with the SLCO DA's office re a “sting operation” involving our case and he even gave us a date the so called "sting" was to go down. However, the “Sting” never happened. Mr. Salter gave us a story about how the SLCO DA's office had everything ready to go, with police ready to make the arrest, but on that day, they couldn't get a hold of the perp. and he didn't get any further information. We asked what the SLCO DA office planned to do next, he said “I didn’t get that info., I guess they'll get to it in another few weeks”. It was all sounding a bit too fishy. We documented all conversations with Mr. Salter and have requested a record/file on our case. We called the SLCO DA' Office and found that they had never spoken to John Salter or his agency and had nothing on our case. Further, the SLCO DA informed us that their cases come from law enforcement, not PI's. PI's have to go through the proper channels starting with Law Enforcement, who will decide if they (The Police) will investigate what a PI's found out. Mr. Salter wasted 8 months of priceless and precious time. And in doing so, he ruined our chances. Mr. Salter took advantage of our situation and our hope, as well as our $. Please Go to the Police first, even if they won’t investigate, you’ve nothing to lose. PI’s really can’t and don’t do much, regardless of their claims. Sadly, PI's like Mr. Salter, are just out to make fast money off your misery. BEWARE!
