Provided by YP.comWe hadn’t been to Longhorn in years, so when we were in the mood for steak, we headed there. We arrived shortly before 5:30 p.m. and were quite surprised to see such a crowd, even for a Friday night, being so early. But being school vacation week, many parents having kiddies in tow, we learned that Longhorn’s offers $8.25 movie tickets if you dine there first. The hostess informed us that this deal has been going on for quite some time, but as we had not been there for so long, it was news to us.
After passing on appetizers, we ordered drinks and enjoyed the small amount of au gratis honey wheat bread brought quickly to our table by our server. Sis was delighted with her refreshing white peach sangria, a bargain at $7.49 for a large bulbous glass. My peach iced tea was refreshing as well and an even better bargain at $2.99 for a tall bottomless glass (I had a second refill but could not finish it). My 11 oz. ribeye was perfectly done to my requested medium-rare. Well-marbled and extremely flavorful, I enjoyed this steak with Longhorn’s hot and tasty fries. Sis’s 6 oz. filet was done to her specification of medium-rare and was very tender, if not as flavorful as my ribeye (I shared). She also liked her baked sweet potato with cinnamon and butter, but I thought the Caesar salads which came with the steaks were just okay. Sis liked the shaved Parmesan on top (a nice touch).
Our server, Helena, was thoughtful, pleasant and attentive without be obtrusive. I felt our meal was a bargain considering the quality and we spent much less than we would have at other steakhouses. My only complaint was the lack of lighting at our booth. We’ll be back to take advantage of their dinner before a movie deal.

- Established in 1981Founded in Atlanta by George McKerrow, Jr., LongHorn Steakhouse began with one man's passion for perfect steak but very few guests to convince. Then a freak snowstorm hit Atlanta in 1982, stranding motorists and drawing them to one of the only hospitable places available - a restaurant then called LongHorn Steaks Restaurant & Saloon. Tales of expertly grilled steaks soon spread like wildfire, and the legend of LongHorn was born.Today, LongHorn welcomes diners to a modern, relaxing dining experience, with knowledgeable servers offering the finest fresh steaks, chicken and seafood expertly prepared as only LongHorn can.Beyond legendary steaks done right, LongHorn is also known for being a positive force in the community. Each day, the restaurant gathers unused, fresh food that wasn't served & donates it to local community food banks. LongHorn Steakhouse is proud to give back to the local community and help make a difference in the lives of others.
