As an admirer and frequent visitor to the Amish country in Berlin, Ohio, I am so very sorry to have to report that this business sold us what we believed to be a Bichon Frise puppy, when in fact, it is not a pure breed at all. We were supplied with papers that listed the sire and the dame, a registration for the AKC signed by the "breeder," and paid nearly $500.00 for this pup.As the pup got older, we began noticing that he clearly is not a bichon, but according to our vet, a terrier mix of some kind. When I took the pup to the groomer today, she guessed that perhaps he is more of a schnauzer/poodle mix...Whatever the case, it will be interesting to see if Berlin Pets makes this right with us. I love the dog, but this is not right. I have all the original papers (and my receipt) from this business. They will be hearing from me.
