Formed in 1972, the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad proudly provides Emergency Medical Response Services to the citizens of Long Neck, Oak Orchard, Riverdale, and the surrounding community. The Squad currently operates with 15 dedicated volunteers supplimented with eight full time career NREMT-Bs, a career Supervisor, and several part time NREMT-Bs. The Squad operates out of a single station on Indian Mission Road with three Basic Life Support ( BLS ) ambulances and a Basic Life Support ( BLS ) First Responder / Duty Officer Unit. The Station responded to 1447 calls for Service in 2006.
