We have used this company to repair our A/C in a rental property for eight years. The last two times they have been out they were supposed to obtain my authorization before performing repairs, which they did not do. When I politely explained to the owner that I was disappointed he became argumentative. I calmly told him I did not feel valued as a customer but he didn't care; he was combative and rushed off the phone with me.



Furthermore, about two years ago when they came out for service, they sent bills to the property address despite me giving them my mailing address. I never received any notice until I got a past due notice at my correct address with a less than polite note on it from Jack. If they can't send the bill to the address I requested how is that my fault? They had my phone number so they could have called me.



I will find another company that will treat me with respect and that is responsive to complaints.

My experience with them has been very good. I have a home I rent out and my tenant called to inform me the A/C was out ant they were miserable. The one other A/C person I know is honest and reputable wasn't available for at least 4 to 5 days. My tenant informed me her mom's family has many businesses and rentals and have used McCombs Electric for years and vouched for their integrity. They showed up within about 2 hours, fixed what was wrong (Replacing a motor) and did not try to add a lot of BS and fraudulent crap nor try to tell me I needed a new Air Conditioner. In this industry as in Plumbing and Carpet Cleaning - mold and remediation be very aware. Many you call are not there to fix anything. They are there only to sell and they have the advantage in that they "Look" professional and act like they know what they're talking about. Unfortunately this unethical and illegal behavior is becoming as common as fraud on the internet. The problem is even worse if you're a landlord because they may try to scare your tenants to death.



When you find a good honest one keep them!

used this company before with no issue. now that my husband is deployed they have made me pay for 2 unrelated things that haven't fixed my issue. called to complain and they told me I asked for these unrelated fixes. they weren't willing to negotiate a deal for me either. told me I had to keep paying for whatever they fixed whether it fixed the problem or not. seems to me they are taking advantage of the fact that my husband is deployed and keep making me pay for unnecessary repairs.
