"friend of family" offered to take a divorce case-which we reconciled almost immediately. The cost of a reputable divorce firm was about $250, With a detailed explanation of every charge, on the day it was being charged. "Friend" as far as I know only filed a $60 filing fee, And "served me"(went to his office on the way to work where he gave it to me-took it back, then had his secretary hand it to me) Charged us $1700. Refusing any kind of refund, with no explanation of charges.
