Founded in 1974, Hunger Task Force is a nonprofit advocacy organization and food bank located in Milwaukee. It is an antihunger organization that works to prevent hunger and malnutrition and provides food to low-income individuals. The organization sponsors various hunger relief programs. Hunger Task Force promotes Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and Food Stamp programs, as well as school breakfast and lunch programs. It distributes food to qualified emergency feeding organizations, including pantries, homeless shelters and meal programs. The organization also administers the StockBox program through the federal Commodity Supplemental Food Program at more than 50 residential buildings and senior centers in Milwaukee and Waukesha, Wis.
