I took my hyundai Santa Fe in just before winter as my brakes were grinding and my power steering wasn't working. They said they needed to replace a major part on the power steering re-grind brakes etc etc totaling in nearly $1000 in work. I wanted my winter vehicle working perfectly for winter so agreed to all recommendations. It's may .. My power steering stops working so I take it back in .. Josh calls me and tells me the power steering is completely broken, along with the front brake pad being nearly gone. Odd considering its a car I don't put a ton of miles on and I just had brakes and power steering fixed, why wouldn't a brake pad that worn down be fixed then??? He asked if I wanted them to do the work and I said certainly not since I spent so much last time.. Odd that the same exact things are broken and I'd like to get a different opinion from another mechanic. At this point he got irate and incredibly rude and condescendingly and I kid you not said he would "hold my hand" while he showed it to me. I can't believe I was spoken to this way. And why if they had done nothing wrong would it be an issue for me to get a second opinion? When that much work is done and they now want to charge you even more it seems quite natural. Josh is apparently completely unaware that along with multiple personal vehicles I own a business with an entire fleet of vehicles that are repaired on a regular basis. if you wanted to be treated like crap for being a woman, ripped off, use Monro! And ask for Josh. Recently used tires plus down the street for some work on a company vehicle was treated with 100% respect, was not talked down to, and was walked through and included in all necessary work.
