Safepath is a 24-hour hotline that offers solutions for the victims of sexual abuse. Located in Milwaukee, it is operated by The Counseling Center of Milwaukee, which has been serving children, individuals and families for more than 35 years. The Counseling Center of Milwaukee offers a variety of mental health care, counseling and case management programs. It works with foundations, businesses and faith communities and serves nearly 9,000 people each year. The center employs a group of more than 50 full- and part-time staff members, as well as professional consultants, certified therapists and over 100 volunteers. Its Pathfinders program offers shelter and street outreach services. The Counseling Center of Milwaukee also conducts graduate and postgraduate training programs in mental health services. It additionally provides peer-to-peer HIV prevention classes for women.
