Provided by YP.comVIP service, they understand cats. I was attended fast, and they credit the parking meter, they had a plug in that made my Agatha feel relaxed. They gave follow up calls to ask about my Agatha. I'm glad I found The Cat Dr., specially because I just moved back home after living in PR. Cats are hard to understand and to know I have them available is a relief in our getting settled in ....... I highly recommend

Provided by YP.comI cannot say enough about The Cat Doctor. Dr. Christensen and her staff are so compassionate and kind and professional. There is nothing quite like taking your cat to a place that specializes in feline care. There are no dogs to encounter and frighten, and there are people there who will love up on your kitty, talk to your kitty to make him or her as comfortable as possible. Everyone who is there truly loves felines and understands them. I am fairly certain that every staff person is a cat owner, too. I have been a customer pretty much since the start back in 1998. I needed help with my 18 month old cat Oscar who was diagnosed with Diabetes. My previous vet was not supportive of home glucose monitoring and we were having trouble getting Oscar regulated with Insulin. I found Dr Christensen through the Feline Diabetes online forum. She was a Godsend back then. She more than supported home glucose monitoring and had the knowledge and experience with the tricky disease known as Feline Diabetes. Oscar was regulated quickly and lived to be 11 years old and never once had a complication from it. I gave him Insulin twice daily and used PZI -- the Insulin with the best results in cats that I was able to obtain with Dr. C's help. My kitty that I have now -- Feliz who is 16 years old -- has had medical problems too. She is hyperthyroid and it took awhile to get that straightened out. Dr. C has brought her back from the brink of death twice. Once with pancreatitis, and most recently last December with a serious infection and kidney failure. When I brought her in for that, I was a wreck. I didn't know what I should do. Faced with lots of tests, treatment and hospitalization and all of the associated costs I was unsure what to do. I loved my then 15 1/2 year old cat but I had to be realistic. Dr C completely understood how hard this was on me. She recommended a few days of treatment in the hospital ward to try to get the infection under control and then re-evaluate. That was exactly what I needed and turned out to be EXACTLY what Feliz needed. She turned around and is doing well today. Dr. C's experience was invaluable then and is still invaluable today. I cannot imagine taking my cat any place else.
P.S. I have read some negative reviews here and all I can say is that I have never had anything remotely close to what these people have experienced in all the years I have been a client. I've even used their boarding services many, many times and have loved it.
In response to tosa58 below... Cat Doctor is very very busy. If you had not seen her for 14 years I can understand why she had to say no to you. She has precious few emergency slots open and to be fair she has to reserve them for her current clients whose cats she knows because they are getting routine care with her. This is just like a human doctor. It is unlikely that if a person didn't see their doc for 14 years and called and wanted to be squeezed in that they would say yes. They need to reserve squeeze in appts for current patients. I am very sorry your pet had to be euthanized. That is always a devastating decision to make. I'm just sad that you felt the need to review her this way when she was trying to be fair to her current client base.

Provided by YP.com14 years ago the Cat Doctor came to my home the next evening after a call for euthanasia, could not have been kinder or more compassionate. My present cat has been diagnosed, and sadly, if we love her, we have to let her go. I called the Cat Doctor again, to spare her the trauma of the office visit. I asked for cost for the service; was put on hold and then was told that the Dr was booked for 3 months for house calls (was never given a price at all). I stated my surprise that she would not have a few spots held in reserve for sick animals that might not be able to arrange not to be sick for 3 months, and was told, 'we haven't seen you for 14 years; any spots we reserve would be for people who come here.' wow. My beloved pet is dying and that is what you can manage?

Provided by YP.comI took my cat to the cat doctor when another clinic told me she had cancer and I should put her to sleep. They were wrong, and the cat doctor gave her another 4 years of wonderful life. When it was her time to go, they made a housecall, which made it easier for both of us. They were so compassionate. Parking can be a problem however.
