BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY
Janell, the realtor, lied to me about a heat pump that doesn't exist. She knew that central air conditioning was one of my criteria in a home purchase. When she showed the home I asked her, "Does it have air conditioning?" She said "No, (short pause) but it does have a heat pump." She showed me the fuse marked "heat pump", then turned it on at the thermostat. Later I found out that it was just a fan that came on. The house has never had a heat pump. She lied in order to make a sale. New paint and new carpet hide cracks and water damage. Soft spots, rust spots and cracks have been coming through the paint since I moved in on March 1. Some of the cracks are now from floor-to-ceiling. Wrinkles have been appearing on the new carpet and the floorboards underneath separate when I walk over them. Both sky windows leak. A large tree-root going under the house was covered with black tape so that I wouldn't see it. The backyard is not a dirt yard as I was told, and as it appeared to the eye. There are about two inches of dirt on top of heavy plastic to hide tree roots coming from a "dead" tree stump in the corner of the lot. Sprouts have been pushing through the plastic and ground all over the yard. Janell had her truck parked in the driveway. I found out later that she parked it over a large puddle that forms every time it rains. The trees are much too close to the house. As a realtor she knew that or should have known that. It's one of her job responsibilities to protect a prospective buyer from seller-fraud and misrepresentation, and require a full-disclosure from the seller. Three of the interior doors no longer latch. This is just a partial list. She and NW Homebuyers refuse to accept any responsibility for their actions.
