Gloria at A Gourmet Sewing Company is the best. She always does a great job and has great service. I came in three days before I was going on vacation and she altered my clothes and had them ready for me before I left. Gloria has the best alteration company in town and I wouldn't recommend anyone else to her what she can do. She takes great care and pays attention to detail to ensure the your clothes fit you properly. I think in this economy the best way to save money is to give you clothes a face lift by having them altered. You can get a whole new wardrobe without spending too much.

Weddings are often stressful times of frantic and poor communication. Gloria forgot to tell me or discuss with me the cost of the bride maid alterations. Since I had done business with her before I knew taking inseams in would be about 30. She hemmed and bustled and insisted on charging me 120 dollars - I wish I had been told up front because another place in town did my friends dress for 50. I could have done it myself.

Her work is OK, she charges gourmet prices which don't fit with my budget and in this case her communication was faulty. Biggest problem: She does not budge even when she is wrong. Very unusual business practice and for this reason I caution consumers.



I asked her to reduce the amount since she did not tell me up front of the charges but she refused - So much for the customer service you will get if you are displeased.
